According to Yahoo! Sports, newly acquired point guard, Greivis Vasquez, is set to make his debut for his new team, the Sacramento Kings, on Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Vasquez managed to average 13.9 points and nine assists last season for the newly named New Orleans Pelicans despite an ankle issue. Before being traded to Sacramento in a three-team deal in early July, the pass-first point guard underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from that ankle on May 24. Vasquez was projected to miss 12 to 16 weeks. Despite participating in the Kings’ training camp in Santa Barbara, California, he was unable to play in team’s preseason opener against the Golden State Warriors.
