PAC-12 the most exciting conference to watch

If you’re a fan of shootouts and lots of points being scored, then the PAC-12 is the conference you’ll want to be watching every week throughout the college football season. While the Oregon Ducks get most of the attention for their up-tempo, high-scoring attack, the rest of the teams in the conference have slowly caught up to their pace, and have become arguably the funnest conference to watch as a whole.

Courtesy of ESPN, here’s how the PAC-12 offense rank among the national leaders:

Scoring offense

2. Oregon, 59.2 points per game
5. UCLA, 48.0
T16. Arizona State, 42.2
20. Oregon State, 41.6
24. Stanford, 39.2
T25. Utah, 39.0

Total offense
2. Oregon, 630.4 yards per game
3. UCLA, 561.8
5. Washington, 557.0
17. California, 515.6
22. Arizona State, 489.4
T24. Oregon State, 488.6

Rushing offense

3. Oregon, 335.8 yards per game
10. Arizona, 291.5
14. UCLA, 259.8
T15. Washington, 258.8

Passing offense

2. Oregon State, 420.6
4. California, 402.6
8. Washington State, 359.7
9. Arizona State, 359.4
21. UCLA, 302.0
23. Washington, 298.2
24. Oregon, 294.6

Whether through the air or on the ground, the PAC-12 is what to watch if you’re a fan of football that’s geared toward shootouts. The only problem is staying up to watch most of their late games that often don’t start until after 10:00 pm on the east coast.
