I’m not sure if the word ‘disappointing’ could describe this awful started the Pittsburgh Steelers have experienced. I never thought this team would be in the situation they are early on and I’m not even a fan of the team.

Honestly I thought this would be a team who would be at the top of the division with the Baltimore Ravens but their not even up there.

This season has held a bunch of surprises for us compared to last season. We have some early upsets in games that should have been one sided.

Anyways, back to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rookie running back Le’Veon Bell made his debut as we all know in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings and performed fairly well before the teams bye week. Bell picked up 57 rushing yards on 16 carries and found the end zone twice.

Before all this, starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger sounded off on the once injured young running back. Now that he’s healthy and picked up nearly 90 total yards, Roethlisberger has changed his tune pretty quick.

Roethlisberger told a radio station yesterday:

"“I hope he doesn’t  hear this, but I was really happy with the things he did and I’m not going to say that he was Adrian Peterson, but he showed some glimpses of some things I see Adrian Peterson do. The reason I say I don’t want him to hear this, I don’t want him to hear me giving him all of this praise, because I want him to keep his nose to the grindstone and keep going hard.” Ben Roethlisberger told 93.7 The Fan via ESPN.com."

With the Steelers coming off of their well needed bye week, they’ll prepare to take on the New York Jets this Sunday.
