When Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz isn’t busting out an aluminum bat during batting practice, he’s apparently helping his nephew, two-year-old Garrett Gandarillas work on his swing.

Case in point, Tuesday evening when prior to Game 4, Ortiz was spotted on the field giving hitting lessons (if you will) to Gandarillas, who was fully equipped in his oversized Ortiz jersey.

Big Papi must have had the movement on his underhand fastball working tonight because he was twirling the pitches by the two-year old with relative ease. But of course, as any Major League batter (or fan, for that matter) knows, throw too many fastballs in succession and the hitter will time it.

That’s exactly what this Little Papi did as he sent a rocket back towards Big Papi, which just so happened to hit him below the belt, sending the husky Ortiz to the ground in pain.

Fellow Red Sox players who were watching the festivities can be seen laughing in the background as Big Papi rolls around in pain while Gandarillas looks on in amusement.
