We saw the Vanderbilt Commodores’ half-time speech that inspired their second half surge. A lineman got up and threw his helmet before getting some support with a speech from his coach.
This speech seems to be from the game against the Arkansas Razorbacks, which the Aggies won 45-33 in Arkansas. It was a hard-fought game but the Aggies were never in any real danger. They scored first and pretty much stayed ahead the whole game, but still a road win in the SEC isn’t easy to come by.
The crazy reaction doesn’t seem to be spontaneous, almost planned. Sumlin starts of by saying “two things before we go crazy.” One player almost pulls the trigger to early, but pulls back before jumping the gun. Moments later the Sumlin screams “let’s do it!”
The players scream loudly and jump around as they throw water about like they just clinched their division in baseball. It seems a little excessive considering they beat an unranked Arkansas team, even if they’re in the SEC.
Nevertheless, if it works and gets the team to keep winning, then keep doing it.
