Ty Lawson's domestic case dropped

Ty Lawson and his girlfriend were arrested back in August for a domestic violence situation. Lawson told the media on Media Day that he thought the case would be dropped, and according to the AP, it has:

The domestic violence case against Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson has been dropped.

Lisa Pinto, a spokeswoman for 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, said Tuesday that, “based on our continued investigation and developments after the filing of the cases, we dismissed the cases in the interest of justice.”

That’s good news for Lawson and the Nuggets. Domestic violence is nothing to joke about, and let’s hope this whole situation is behind him now. Athletes are just like everybody else, but their wrongdoings are broadcast all over the world, and it makes their situation seem worse. Lawson seems to think he did nothing wrong, and the law agreed with him. As for a statement, he took to twitter to address the news—well sort of:
