Later this evening, the Louisville Cardinals will take the field on ESPN’s edition of Thursday Night College Football to face off against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in a pivotal AAC showdown. Now, while the matchup on paper between the two teams from a conference that is all but forgotten isn’t intriguing to most, one player on the field tonight will be enough to catch everyone’s interest.
Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater is one of the top Heisman favorites thus far, and is projected to be the hands-down first quarterback taken in the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft. It’s because of this that there will be more than just fan’s eyes on him tonight during the game in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
According to a report from CBS, scouts from 20 NFL franchises will be there tonight to evaluate Bridgewater in person. The Jacksonville Jaguars, who are said to be the one’s most in need of Bridgewater’s services, have requested three credentials alone, including one for General Manager David Caldwell.
