Charlotte Bobcats waive Abdul Gaddy and Troy Daniels

The Charlotte Bobcats have announced that they have waived point guards Abdul Gaddy and Troy Daniels.

Gaddy is a 6’3 point guard out of the University of Washington was picked up by the Charlotte Bobcats to fill their Summer League roster. He played in four games but only started in one. He averaged 14.5 minutes per game and scored 17 points in his third game in the league but turned the ball over four times.

Troy Daniels was also a free agent who was brought on to fill the roster. Neither players played in Charlotte’s first exhibition game.

With point guards Kemba Walker, Ramon Sessions and Jannero Pargo on the depth chart, there wouldn’t have been any minutes to give Gaddy and Daniels. There was really no point in keeping them on the roster, so they were cut loose.

Brendan Haywood has a stress fracture in his left foot and will need to have surgery. Haywood could be sidelined for at least 12 weeks which should give more minutes to Al Jefferson.
