With a huge game against the No. 2 Oregon Ducks only a few days away, Washington Huskies quarterback Keith Price has been dealing with an injury to the thumb on his throwing hand all week. Price injured the thumb in the first half of Washington’s 31-28 loss to the No. 5 Stanford Cardinal, but he still managed to throw for 350 yards and two touchdowns.

Price spoke after practice about how the injury is impacting his grip on the football: “It’s a little different. But if I’m healthy enough to come out here and practice, I have to be ready to perform” (The Seattle Times).

Head coach Steve Sarkisian chimed in, saying he doesn’t think the injury has hampered Price: “And I think he’s getting better and better throughout the week. He had an excellent practice today.”

With ESPN’s GameDay in town and a stadium that is sure to be rockin’, the game between the Ducks and the Huskies should be one of the best of the weekend. Make sure to tune in Saturday at 1:00 p.m. PT on Fox Sports 1 for the action.
