Tim Hardaway Jr., the son of Tim Hardaway (obviously) will be included in the New York Knicks rotation to start the regular season.
Hardaway was on fire last night as he scored 16 points in 25 minutes of play. That type of play could get him some serious minutes during the regular season. Hardaway’s biggest shot last night was a fade-away jumper with eight seconds left in the game to defeat the Boston Celtics in their pre-season opener.
The Knicks blew a 23 point fourth quarter lead but still managed to walk away with a 103-102 victory thanks to Hardaway’s boy.
This season the Knicks will more than likely be a playoff team once again. With the additions of Metta World Peace should improve their defense as well as their three point shot.
If Hardaway is anything like his father, he could have a very bright future in this league. It has to be exciting for Tim Sr. watching his boy do his thing on the court. I wonder if it’s ever sparked a ‘let’s test the coming out of retirement’ part that every professional athlete tries to avoid, but sometimes fails to do so.
