Wait, so you mean to tell me a player the Portland Trail Blazers drafted is dealing with some sort of injury?! That never happens!

One of the biggest question marks for the Blazers heading into the 2013-14 NBA season is second-year center Meyers Leonard. While he showed bursts of great athleticism as a rookie, Leonard struggled at grasping the Portland defense and would disappear for long stretches of games.

Now, unfortunately, with the regular season about to begin, it appears Leonard will be battling a foot injury he suffered on Wednesday night against the Phoenix Suns. The injury isn’t thought to be severe, but Leonard is still listed as questionable for Portland’s next game. Goodie.

I’m not even sure if “plagued” would even be the right word to describe the injury issues the Blazers have dealt with this training camp. Nine of their 15 players are hurt, with the biggest injury coming to highly-touted rookie C.J. McCollum. While none of the injured players (besides McCollum) are expected to miss games when the regular season begins, having so many players sidelined with ailments has certainly disrupted the team’s chemistry.

Of course, none of this should surprise you if you’re a Trail Blazers fan. God may hate Cleveland, but he’s just trolling Portland at this point.
