Veteran running back Willis McGahee joined the Cleveland Browns after the team made the decision to part ways with former top five pick Trent Richardson in a trade to the Indianapolis Colts, and he has done his best to help the team move forward.
Since the trade, the Browns have gone on a 3-0 run and find themselves with a share of the AFC North lead.
As far as McGahee is concerned, the team is only beginning to tap in to their potential.
“Sky’s the limit for us,” McGahee said on PFT Live. “Sky’s the limit for me.
“The Browns compare to my first year in Denver when those guys were young. They had a vet, which was Champ Bailey but it shows the same characteristics. Young, everyone being together, we weren’t winning at first but the we started winning. Once you believe, you believe.”
The Browns have plenty of young talent and they are only getting better as the season goes on, so McGahee may be on to something.
Entering the season, the Browns were one of the most interesting teams in the league with their new coaching staff and talented young roster. Now, they are showing why there was plenty of hype about the things this franchise can do moving forward.
