Adrian Peterson’s son dies from injuries

A incredibly sad story has now gotten even sadder. After being in a hospital in critical condition fighting for his life, Adrian Peterson’s son has died from his injuries.
From KTSP:
"Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson’s 2-year-old son has died from injuries suffered during a reported assault by his mother’s boyfriend."
Peterson’s son was severly beaten by the boy’s mother’s boyfriend. The name of his son wasn’t initially released, but it is not Adrian Jr. who was seen in pictures in training camp.
“One thing that I always bounce back to is the good Lord never gives you more than you can bare and you can handle,” Peterson said in statement earlier today. “I’m built tough.”
“I appreciate the support that I’ve received from all the fans and the Vikings organization,” Peterson said on ESPN. “You know, this is a private matter and I ask that y’all please respect my privacy and not ask at all about the situation at hand.
Peterson also said that he will play on Sunday, that football has always been therapeutic for him.
“I will be playing Sunday.”
“Football is something that I always fall back on, gets me through tough times.”
This is an incredibly heartbreaking story, and on behalf of the entire FanSided team I’d like to say that Adrian Peterson and his family are in our prayers.
