Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin suffers bone bruise, will try to practice

When Los Angeles Clippers high-flying forward Blake Griffin went down with a knee injury in practice, there was obvious concern. For a guy that bases his game around his athletic ability, a knee injury is even more concerning than normal, though thankfully it looks like Griffin and the Clippers have avoided any serious issue.

The Clippers are calling Griffin’s injury a simple ‘bone bruise’ and the young All-Star forward is hopeful that he’ll be able to get on the court for practice Friday so he’ll be able to participate in the Clippers’ upcoming road trip:

Blake Griffin (knee) says he would like to play during #Clippers 3-game preseason road trip.

Despite seemingly always finding himself injured (at least to some degree), Griffin almost never misses a game, playing in all but two contests the last three seasons.

The Clippers may try to be cautious with Griffin and give him some time off considering there’s no reason to push him in the preseason, though it sounds as if Griffin wants to return to the court regardless.
