On Friday, Mexico and Panama square off in a World Cup qualifier. The last time these two teams met was during the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Golf Cup in Dallas, Texas. Panama went on to lose in the finals the the U.S. Men’s National Team.

Mexico and Panama are both motivated to win. They’re both looking from the outside at one of the coveted top three spots. The top three teams get an automatic berth for the World Cup, the fourth place team will go participate in a playoff with New Zealand for a berth.

If qualifying ended today, Panama would be in that playoff berth. Unfortunately these teams are running out of time, there are just two qualifying games left.
