Blake Griffin unsure if he'll be able to play on Los Angeles Clippers road trip

Earlier this week, Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin suffered a knee injury which initially caused some concern. Thankfully after tests were performed, Griffin suffered nothing more than a bone bruise and was hopeful to take part in the Clippers upcoming road trip.

The former Oklahoma star was able to practice with the team on Friday, though, was somewhat limited and now is unsure if he’ll be back before the Clippers return home later next week.

The Clippers begin a three-game road trip Saturday night in Salt Lake City. Asked before Friday’s hour-long practice if he intends to play at any point between Utah, Sacramento and Phoenix, Griffin said, “I can’t really say, ‘Yes’ for sure or ‘No’ for sure. It’s my intention to play.”

There’s really no reason for the Clippers to let Griffin play considering it’s simply the preseason. Add in the fact that he’s already had severe leg issues and the smart route is to keep Griffin on the bench until he’s completely healthy.
