Jadeveon Clowney To Start At Arkansas

After a long week of speculation, it looks like Jadeveon Clowney will start against the Hogs in Fayetteville, as an inside source has confirmed he’s dressed and ready to go.

This is great news for the South Carolina Gamecocks, who were not only worried about this game, but also the remainder of the season. Thoughts and rumors have been swirling around all week that Clowney may have been thinking about shutting it down for the remainder of the season.

It looks now like those thoughts were ill-conceived, or at least Clowney decided that perhaps it wasn’t a good idea for his NFL draft stock. Or maybe this was all about being a bigger team player than he was beginning to be perceived as.

At any rate, he’s ready to play for his team in a game that starts at the bottom of the hour. Arkansas really could have used the distraction of Clowney not playing to help them pull the upset. Now they’ll have to do it the old fashioned way.
