Kirk Herbstreit says Washington needs a bid to host the College Football Championship

ESPN Gameday was in Seattle this morning for the Washington Huskies against the Oregon Ducks and apparently were quite impressed with what they saw. Kirk Herbstreit just sent out a tweet praising the city of Seattle and in essence Husky Stadium:

Of course Husky Stadium is back after a year hiatus, with Washington playing at Century Link field, home of the Seattle Seahawks, for the full renovation of the college stadium. The main reason for the renovation was to update old concourses, fix a leaky, dangerously old roof and remove the track around the field to get the rowdy Husky fans closer to the action on the field. The essentially new stadium has drawn rave reviews from everyone who has seen it.

Apparently the Gameday crew hasn’t been to Seattle to see the Seahawks play, because it seems to me like that would have been an obvious choice for this new system that will begin next season called the “College Football Championship”.
