ABC calls Red River Rivalry Mack Brown's Waterloo in odd graphic (Photo)

So they aired an odd graphic during the Red River Rivalry game. Texas Longhorns head coach Mack Brown hasn’t had the best record against Oklahoma in his tenure. It has included some blow out losses, including the last two games: 55-17 in 2011 and 63-21 in 2012. He also went through a stretch early in the 2000’s  where they went on a five game losing streak.

So ABC compared Mack Brown to Napoleon in a weird and odd on-screen graphic. It chronicled Texas’ 55+ point loss during his tenure. It also depicted Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops as the Duke of Wellington. They are also calling the Red River Rivalry game Mack Brown’s Waterloo.

Waterloo was of course the defeat that ended Naploleon’s rule as Emperor of France. So the analogy they’re trying to make is that this could be Mack Brown’s last stand and if he loses this game he could be done as Texas’ head coach.
