Oregon vs Washington: De’Anthony Thomas To Play, Corso Picks Ducks

Sep 7, 2013; Charlottesville, VA, USA; Oregon Ducks running back De

The ESPN Gameday crew is in Seattle this morning, getting ready for the early afternoon tilt between the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies.

We found out as the week rolled on that De’Anthony Thomas was more and more healthy, after shedding the walking boot. Today it’s been confirmed that he will suit up and be full-go against the Dawgs of Washington. The question still remains, how much of an impact will he have and does Oregon need him?

The Gameday set was high on Washington all morning long, giving the Huskies a real shot to compete in and even win the game. That makes sense, seeing as they were there because the purple and gold is back in the spotlight, ranked 16th and barely having lost to Stanford last week.

Football Hall of Famer Warren Moon and soccer great Hope Solo were the guests and as you’d expect picked their alma mater in the upset. David Pollack picked UW as well. And then there was Lee Corso, who played with the crowd with a rubber duck and a stuffed Husky; “Ducks, Huskies… Ducks… Huskies, Ducks Huskies”

He finished with “Gimme that Duck head!”
