Wisconsin WR Jared Abbrederis out for rest of game vs. Northwestern

The Wisconsin Badgers currently lead the Northwestern Wildcats at home in Camp Randall Stadium by a score of 14-3 about halfway through the second quarter in Madison.

Wisconsin’s first touchdown of the day came from an incredible 63-yard scoring strike from QB Joel Stave to dynamic wide receiver Jared Abbrederis. It’s nothing that we haven’t seen Abbrederis do before, as he continues to be the most consistent player on this Wisconsin offense.

But, the Badgers will have to do without him for the rest of this game as a result of a head injury.

Abbrederis left the game in the second quarter, was examined and ultimately it was decided that he would not return. He finishes his day with two catches for 74 yards, including that score.

Now, with Abbrederis out, Wisconsin will have to grind it out with the run game more than they usually do. And so far, they’re showing that might not be an issue, as RB James White scored another TD to put the Badgers up 14-3.
