Florida State opens up as favorite on the road against Clemson

Florida State was on a bye week, and the Clemson Tigers barely escaped a scare at home from Boston College. But, here’s the thing, yesterday doesn’t matter anymore.

Next week, these two teams will meet in a clash with not just conference, but national championship implications on the line. In this version of the ‘Game of the Century,’ It will be virtually everything you hear about this week as it pertains to college football, and rightfully so with the amount of storylines this matchup possesses.

The title implications, Jameis vs. Tajh, Dabo vs. Jimbo, Clemson’s offense against Florida State’s stifling defense–this game has it all.

But, before we start to look at the matchups on the field and the sidelines for next week, we all know that Las Vegas has to give their take on the matter first, and it actually might be surprising to some.

Although Clemson is sitting firmly in their number three spot, where they should also remain once the polls are released shortly, they’ll still be presumably ahead of FSU–who should be at number five. Also of note is that Clemson will be playing their second biggest game of the year in the same venue that they played their first against Georgia, inside the confines of Death Valley.

But, all of that considered, the Las Vegas hats really don’t care about all that as the ‘Noles have opened up as a three-point favorite.
