Los Angeles Dodgers' Andre Ethier expects to start NLCS Game 3

Credit St. Louis Cardinals starter Michael Wacha for keeping a lid on the Los Angeles Dodgers’ offense in Game 2 of their NLCS, but missing both Andre Ethier and Hanley Ramirez didn’t help.

Thankfully for Los Angeles, it appears that they’ll be getting at least one of them back for Game 3 as Ethier is expected to start on Monday night.

Ethier said that he was sore, but was confident he would be ready to start Monday in Game 3 at Dodger Stadium.

Ethier, who missed a month and returned for his first action in Game 1 reported some soreness after the game, forcing him to bench duty come Game 2.

Watching Ethier in Game 1, it was clear he wasn’t completely healthy as he struggled to run the bases, especially cut and plant.

If for some reason Ethier is a late scratch, Skip Schumaker will continue to start in his place.

The Dodgers, down 0-2 in the series are essentially in a must-win scenario come Game 3 in Los Angeles.
