It looks like it is Edward Norton’s turn to say those classic words, “Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the American History X actor is set to host the longtime NBC show on October 26th.
This is not the first time that Norton has made an appearance on the show. He has appeared twice before; once in 1999 with host Drew Barrymore where he participated in a VH1 commercial parody as Daryl Dragon of Captain &Tennille. He appeared on the show once again in 2003 with host Salma Hayek where Norton makes an appearance during the opening monologue.
Despite his past appearances, this will be his first time hosting the show.
He will be joined on the show by musical guest Janelle Monae.
Edward Norton can most recently be seen in the upcoming film The Grand Budapest Hotel.
The longtime running weekly television program was hosted by Bruce Willis. Joining Willis was musical guest Katy Perry who performed her songs “Walking on Air” and “Roar” off of her new album Prism.
Saturday Night Live is currently in its 39th season on television. It has made the careers of many young comedians looking for their start. Without SNL, we may have never heard names like Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, or even famous fall guy Chevy Chase.
Saturday Night Live airs on Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
