Eric Gordon only played in only 42 games last season, and his health was a concern heading into the season for the Hornets Pelicans. The Pelicans were concerned that he wouldn’t be able to start the season, but they received some positive feedback on Monday:

Typically, that is the last step before playing again, but don’t expect Gordon to see much time in the preseason, if any at all. If the Pelicans can stay healthy, they have Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis, Tyreke Evans, and Ryan Anderson, which means we could see a playoff team. Gordon can score with the best of them, and he could attract a lot of attention from defenses, which means an easier time for the other stars. Evans will be ready for the season opener–and with Gordon back–we could be seeing a Pelicans team who could be getting fully healthy.

Monty Williams will be coaching for his job this season, and we will see if they can turn potential in to results.
