Florida Gators Head Coach Will Muschamp revealed today that running back Matt Jones is out for year after sustaining a torn meniscus during Saturday’s 17-6 loss to the LSU Tigers:

The sophomore suffered the injury during the first half and didn’t return. He finished with 17 yards on four carries after racking up a career high 176 yards against Kentucky on Sept. 28.

It’s getting dire for Muschamp and his depleted Gators, and they’ll be hitting the road this week to face the undefeated Missouri Tigers. If they can win this game, they’ll be tied for the lead in the SEC East with games against South Carolina and Georgia still remaining.
