The New York Giants are still looking to an answer at running back this season. David Wilson was the starter but he has a neck injury and will be out for a few more weeks. Brandon Jacobs started in the past week and did well. He carried the ball 22 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns.

He didn’t break any big runs really, it was more a slow and steady approach but it was arguably the best performance from a running back the Giants have seen all year. Of course he has 154 yards on the season and almost all of them came from this game.

According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora tweeted: “The Giants, short on RBs and with David Wilson out at least a few weeks with neck injury, working out Peyton Hillis among others Tues.”

Of course this could be a depth move. He spent last season with the Kansas City Chiefs and played in 13 games. He carried the ball 85 times for 309 yards and one touchdown. He averaged 3.6 yards per carry that season. He was signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this summer and on their roster when the season started but was released in late September.
