Arsenal made waves at the end of the transfer window by going out and adding Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Özil. The German national was representing his country in World Cup qualifying today when he went down with an injury. There was less than 10 minutes left in Özil came up limping.

Julian Drexler came on for Özil, who went down the tunnel as soon as he came of the pitch. This has Arsenal fans bracing for bad news. An injury means he most likely won’t be available for this weekend’s English Premier League match between Arsenal and Norwich City. Fortunately for Arsenal fans, they’re playing Norwich City and not stiffer competition.

Özil scored the first goal for Germany, who was down 2-0 when he scored, right before the end of the half. That opened the flood gates for Germany. After the half they added three more goals to make it 4-2 Germany.

Sweden pulled with in one, before Andrew Schürrle scored his third goal of the game to give them a two-goal lead.

Germany won the game 5-3 over Sweden and qualified for the World Cup
