Junior dos Santos believes he can beat both Klitschko brothers

There is no real heavyweight threat in boxing outside of the Klitschko brothers, but former UFC heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos believes in his striking enough to say that he has what it takes to beat Wladimir or Vitali.

Dos Santos, who is currently finishing up training for this weekend’s UFC 166 main event title bout against Cain Velasquez, shared his belief with MMA Fighting.

“I’m a boxing guy,” said dos Santos. “I love to box with my training partners and everything but now everybody is saying this, everybody wants to fight with boxing guys. It’s become not sincere. When I say that, I’m sincere.”

“I think if they give me four months to get prepared, I can beat them. In the beginning of all my camps, I do just boxing. I love to train boxing and I think I have enough skills in boxing. I know how to see a good fight. Four months, that’s what I need.”

“I did talk to Dana but just a little bit once. It wasn’t very serious. Next time, maybe I’ll do that.”

It would be an interesting crossover match to see, but one that will likely never happen.

If dos Santos would welcome either of the brothers to the octagon, it would be dos Santos that would clearly win by destruction. However, in the ring, it could be a different story.

Who do you think would win between JDS and one of the Klitschko brothers? Sound off in the comments section below.
