Since Monday was Columbus Day (or Thanksgiving for all you Canadians), LSU Tigers head coach Les Miles decided to share some wisdom about the holiday during a press conference. Just watch:

For those of you at work and unable to watch videos, here’s the text of the comments:

Good afternoon. I just wanted to remind everybody that it’s Columbus Day.

 

All those of you that know Italians, like Italians, or the people that might venture onto a ship and travel to explore and find new lands, this is your day.

 

It’s not St. Patty’s day — that’s a different day entirely.

Yeah, from now on I think all holidays should be explained by Miles in this fashion.

I’m pretty sure at this point that Les Miles is a comedic genius in the same mold as Andy Kaufman. Or he’s completely lost his marbles. It’s one of the two, definitely. Either way, I hope Les Miles never changes.
