The New York Giants are dealing with plenty of issues at the running back position with David Wilson, Andre Brown and Brandon Jacobs all recovering from injuries, so it comes as no surprise that they will spend Tuesday working out a couple of veteran rushers with hopes of bolstering their depth chart.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, the team will be working out a familiar face in D.J. Ware, along with Peyton Hillis who has yet to return to form since appearing on the cover of Madden NFL 12.

As the Giants running backs currently stand, Michael Cox is the only healthy back.

Jacobs was held out of practice on Monday, but he could still recover in time to take the field in Week 6. Regardless of his status, the Giants still need to add bodies to the backfield and they will likely sign either Ware or Hillis if they look like a serviceable back up.

The Giants play the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football this week.
