The popular website, HeismanPundit.com, is usually very good at breaking down the Heisman Trophy. Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel comes in second in the poll. Last year’s winner threw for 346 yards and rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns in a comeback victory over the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday. On the season, Manziel has completed 131 of 179 passes for 1,835 yards, 14 touchdowns and five interceptions. He’s rushed for 438 yards and five more touchdowns on 67 carries.
Despite having the week off, Florida State Seminoles redshirt freshman quarterback Jameis Winston comes in third on the list.
