Eric Gordon battled injuries last season, and only played only 42 games for the Hornets. Now that they are the Pelicans, Gordon is looking to play healthy this season. He returned to practice 2 days ago, and now it looks like he will start tonight against the Thunder:

The Pelicans’ chances of making the playoffs will be based on health, and it’s good to see Gordon back in the lineup. I doubt he will play over 20 minutes, but the reps will help him get right, and help team chemistry. The Pelicans will have Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Anthony Davis, and Tyreke Evans, so they will have some talent. Whether or not they can mesh has yet to be seen, but you can count on head coach Monty Williams to try his best to make it work. Williams hasn’t seen success in New Orleans, so he may be coaching for his job.
Having Gordon on the floor makes it tougher for defenses to focus on one area, and he can score with the best of them.
