LaMarcus Aldridge misses practice with knee pain

Portland Trail Blazers All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge skipped the team’s practice on Thursday due to pain in his left knee. It’s is unknown whether he will be healthy enough to play against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.

While head coach Terry Stotts said the injury doesn’t seem serious, it’s hard for Portland fans like yours truly not to panic with every bit of injury news that comes out. It seems like almost every played on the Portland roster has battled some sort of injury this off-season, and while it is good to be dealing with those problems now as opposed to when the season starts, it’s hard to imagine the team will really be in-sync when the actual games begin. Especially troubling is the loss of rookie C.J. McCollum, who broke his foot during a practice.

But hey, it isn’t as if the Blazers as a franchise have a history of key guys suffering injuries, right?
