If nothing else, today was an interesting day of work for Director Michael Bay. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmaker was attacked on the set of Transformers 4.
It is being reported that the 48 year-old director was approached by two local men, reportedly brothers, while filming in a downtown area of Hong Kong Island.
He was first approached by the younger brother who demanded approximately $12,900 from the director. Apparently, when Bay did not just hand over the money an argument ensued.
He was then approached by the older brother who reportedly struck Bay in the face. This prompted police officers to intervene in the matter; however, when they did, the man attempted to fight the three officers as well.
According to USA Today, both brothers were arrested in connection with the matter. The younger brother was arrested on charges of suspicion of blackmail and assault while the elder brother was arrested on charges of suspicion of assault.
It is said that the director did sustain injuries to the right side of his face, but nothing was serious enough to warrant a visit to the hospital.
After the matter was cleared up, Bay was able to resume filming for the day.
Transformers 4: Age of Extinction is set to be released on June 27, 2014.
