Undefeated lightweight prospect Nick Newell made a big impression to mixed martial arts fans at World Series of Fighting 4 with a quick win in his promotional debut. Now, fans of the sport will get to see the congenital amputee return to action on Dec. 7 at the PNE Agrodome in Vancouver, B.C. against Sabah Fadai at WSOF 7.
Newell is missing his left hand and forearm below the elbow, but he has never let that slow him down.
He will once again get to show off his skills in December when the event airs on the NBC Sports Network.
“It made sense for him to be on the next NBC Sports card,” said WSOF president Ray Sefo, via Sports Illustrated. “I think viewers were just as surprised and amazed as I was at how fast he finished his last opponent. When Nick fights, I think people will tune in.”
In the main event of the December 7 card, UFC veterans Anthony Johnson and Mike Kyle will face off in a light heavyweight battle.
It’s promising to be a top-notch card of World Series of Fighting, which will help MMA fans bridge the gap between UFC 167 and UFC 168. Will you be tuning in?
