As Allen Iverson once proclaimed, practice is well, irritating. You play the game for the glory of the actual, you know, game, not to refine your skills in practice. But alas, as a team it’s a much needed responsibility despite its irritations. But what better way to make practice a little more fun than to have a dancing competition?
That was the thought of the Buffalo Sabres, who decided to spice things up after a recent practice.
As the players circled around the team logo, one player (still dressed out in skates) made his way to the middle of the ‘dance floor’ and started busting out famed moves.
The first player decides he’ll go with an ode to hip-hop, busting out a break dance move while the second player does his best Tom Cruise sliding across the floor in Risky Business impersonation.
Not to be outdone, the third player decided to go with a Pulp Fiction/John Travolta move but it was the fourth player who took the cake with a twerk dance, much to the appeasement of his teammates who clapped their sticks on the ice in appreciation.
