When the average person thinks of the hit A&E show Duck Dynasty they think of the Robertson clan and their glorious beards. However, we have stumbled upon a picture of the Robertson clan before those full beards came into the spotlight.
Looking more like someone who should be modeling for Abercrombie & Fitch or J. Crew, in 2001 we see the Robertson family; Willie, Alan, Miss Kay, Jase, and Jep with clean shaven faces that make them virtually unrecognizable.
Not that Miss Kay has ever had a beard, but you get the point.
Take a look for yourself.
Now granted, this picture was taken eight years before the debut of the Robertson family’s first show, Duck Commander, which airs on the Outdoor Channel.
In the last 12 years, the Robertsons have grown quite the respectable beard, which has been almost as recognizable as the brilliant beards worn by Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of ZZ Top.
Duck Dynasty showcases how a family from West Monroe, Louisiana who has built a multi-million dollar empire by crafting hand-made duck calls. Making a multi-million dollar empire is no small task, especially when your business started in a dilapidated shed.
However, this all goes to show that with a little hard work, and in the case of the beards some good genes, a lot can change over the course of 12 years.
Duck Dynasty airs Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. on A&E.
