The Green Bay Packers need tight end Jermichael Finley to step up his game in the coming weeks with the loss of wide receiver Randall Cobb, who was placed on the injured reserve list with a designation to return in Week 15. James Jones is also dealing with a knee injury, so Finley’s production figures to jump in the coming weeks, but hopefully the number of unnecessary roughness penalties he gets doesn’t/

Last week in a narrow-win vs the Baltimore Ravens, Finely was flagged for unnecessary roughness, a penalty that cost the Packers 15 yards, and now he’s been fined for said penalty:

The penalty was for a hit on Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs in the first quarter in which he delivered a forearm-shiver to the face of Suggs, though it looks like that was incidental as he was trying to block into Suggs’ chest. Suggs wasn’t looking, but he wasn’t engaged with anyone else and Finley didn’t hit him low or from behind.
