Well this is some great news for San Francisco 49ers fans across the country.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh made a promise while speaking to reporters today saying that wide receiver Mario Manningham will return to game action soon.

This of course is according to Steve Corkran who posted it on Twitter. Right now this 49ers team could really use him back at 100 percent. The addition of Anquan Boldin was nice for this team but with the way the Seattle Seahawks are looking and playing, they’re going to need more than just Boldin.

Not only is Manningham out, but Michael Crabtree is still sidelined for an undisclosed amount of time. It was figured Crabtree could miss the remainder of the season, but nothing is 100 percent sure right now.

Manningham hasn’t played a single snap this season after tearing his ACL late last season. His return will definitely upgrade the wide receiver corps they currently have.

It should hold them over until Crabtree is able to return from his injury. If he does in fact return this season.
