St. Louis Cardinals’ center fielder Jon Jay is not in tonight’s starting lineup, and will be replaced by Shane Robinson for tonight’s National League Championship Series matchup with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Manager Mike Matheny is looking for more offense in tonight’s game.

"“We have a left-handed pitcher starting against us. We’ve kind of stacked the top with righties. We’re trying to get as much offense in there as we can.”"

Dodgers’ skipper Don Mattingly announced that Hanley Ramirez won’t start tonight due to his cracked rib that has been plaguing him for much of the series. The Dodgers enter play tonight, down in the series three game-to-two.

Left-hander Clayton Kershaw will take the hill for Los Angeles at Busch Stadium, and will be opposed by standout rookie Michael Wacha.

In other notes, Allen Craig played in a simulated game and could appear as a designated hitter for St. Louis, should the team reach the World Series.
