Buzz Williams may be be one of the more under appreciated coaches in all of college basketball. In turn, The Marquette Golden Eagles are possibly the most always under-the-radar programs in the entire nation. But please, don’t tell that to any of the country’s best recruits or 2014 recruiting prospect, Marial Shayok.
Why are you not telling Shayok that the program, Williams and essentially everything related to Marquette hoops is unappreciated? Because it probably doesn’t matter a single bit to him. According to sources (his Tweeter), Shayok is going to be joining the program.
I’m happy to announce that I’m going to be playing for @TeamCoachBuzz at Marquette. Thanks to all family, friends and coaches@CoachMantegna

Shayok, a 6-foot-6 native of Ottawa, Ontario, was also being heavily courted by the Providence Friars.
Most recruiting service websites have the forward being rated between a three-to-four star recruit. He is touted as being a versatile, heady player who might get to see time rather quickly when he joins the team for the 2014 season.
At the very least, Shayok should provide depth for Marquette, but anything is possible with a Williams’ led program. He does have a habit of turning solid players into very good ones by the time it is all said and done.
