It looks as if we are going to get a new incantation of the ridiculously creepy Paranormal Activity franchise sooner than we thought. The first trailer for Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones was released yesterday.
I can tell you one thing for certain; the scare factor has definitely increased.
For those of you who have been following this franchise, you will remember that at the end of Paranormal Activity 4, we see a Latin Bodega with many religious artifacts hanging on the walls. Well, it seems that it is the family that runs the bodega that has inherited the nightmare that is the activity.
The Marked Ones will follow a young man by the name of Jesse who lives in Oxnard, California; the date is June 2012.
Things start to go bad when a woman in the neighborhood is killed. Jesse and his friends decide to go investigate the house. Unfortunately, they found a lot more than they bargained for.
In the house they found many black magic artifacts, videos of Kristi and Katie, and worst of all, pictures of Jesse. How in the world did these people get pictures of Jesse?
Soon after, Jesse starts to have a sting of creepy dreams. One morning, he even wakes up with what looks like a bite mark on his arm.
As with any Paranormal Activity film, things go from bad to worse quite quickly.
Well, I don’t want to give away all the scares, so why don’t you take a look for yourself? Here is the trailer for the upcoming film Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones.
Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is scheduled to be released on January 3, 2014.
