Report: Former Oregon TE Colt Lyerla signs with agency, will enter NFL Draft

Lyerla

After announcing his decision to leave the Oregon football program a little over two weeks ago, former Ducks TE Colt Lyerla has reportedly signed with an agent and intends to enter the 2014 NFL Draft, as most imagined he would.

Bleacher Report’s NFL Draft expert, Matt Miller, was the first to break the news earlier this evening:

In a season in which a lot of eyes are on the Oregon Ducks as they continue their march toward a national championship, Lyerla and his reported conflicts with the team were highly-publicized in the earlier part of this campaign. He was suspended for the Colorado game earlier this month for a “violation of team rules.”

Lyerla participated in three games for Oregon this season and had just two catches. He did find the end zone once, but that was on rushing play.

The former five-star prospect finishes his career for the Ducks with 34 receptions for 565 yards and 11 touchdowns.
