New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been medically cleared to play against the New England Patriots on Sunday. The news comes on the heels of a statement from Gronkowski’s agent Drew Rosenhaus that said he’d play when he is medically cleared.

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Drew Rosenhaus said, “Rob Gronkowski has now been cleared by all his doctors to play Sunday in the Jets game.” Unsatisfied with simply having his agent drop a line to an ESPN NFL Insider, Gronkowski released his own video.

“I feel so much better than I have in the past few weeks; compared to last week right now at this time, I feel great,” Gronkowski said. “… You might think that we just show up and play on Sundays, but there’s so much behind the scenes … that goes on before you can get back out on the field.”

“It’s going to be a great feeling to run back out there through that tunnel and get back out there with them,” Gronkowski tells the camera.

He also talks about how he was motivated watching his teammates practice and knowing he couldn’t get out there. It seems a little planned and an opportunity to make money. The video was sponsored by BODYARMOR SuperDrink.
