The Tennessee Titans have slid since Ryan Fitzpatrick took over as quarterback. They’re 0-2 over the last two games and desperately want Locker back. They’re trying to be cautious not to rush him however, but he could be ready.

“We really want to get a good feeling on what he feels he can do well and what his limitations might be,” head coach Mike Munchak said, via the Tennessean. “Those are the things that will go into it now. … I think both (quarterbacks) have gotten enough work where either one of them could play on Sunday. We just need to finish up some talks and make a decision.”

Fitzpatrick has completed 38 of 70 passes for 418 yards, 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions in two starts.

“Ryan is going forward like he is starting and I am sure Jake in his mind is (too),” Munchak said. “Jake wants it. I don’t know that he’ll be 100 percent honest with us, unfortunately. … He knows how important he is to team. But he understands what we have to do and he’ll go by ultimately what we decide is best, even though he may not agree with us, because there’s a lot of football to go this year. We want to make sure we are doing the right thing.”
