No. 15 Georgia vs Vandy: Commodores have golden opportunity for first SEC win of 2013

#15 Georgia (4-2, 3-1 SEC) at Vanderbilt (3-3, 0-3 SEC) 12 pm EST, ESPN 3

The enigma that is Vanderbilt needs to get on the board in the SEC this week. The Commodores have a golden opportunity at home to knock off a once elite Georgia team that has absolutely been demolished by injury over the past few weeks, and it’s a must-win for them in my opinion.

Vandy is playing gritty ball but has started to become the laughing stock again due to their inability to finish. A win like this is the only way out.

Vandy has to travel to No. 7 Texas A&M next week before heading to the Swamp to face the No. 22 Gators.

Georgia really needs to rebound, not just for their SEC title hopes, but for their season to stay alive in general. A team with the expectations that they had coming into the season can let the wheels come off quickly by losing two in a row, especially after their troubles this season.

You could say all you want in media day about moving forward and playing one game at a time, but a loss here would devastate the Dawgs, to a point where they may not recover this season.
