One of he marquee match ups this weekend is the SEC contest between No. 22 Florida Gators and the No. 14 Missouri Tigers. On the very first play, of the very first drive, Missouri Tigers quarterback Maty Mauk threw a pass towards the sideline and wide receiver L’Damian Washington. While he was coming down with the football, defensive back Cody Riggs went to lay a hit on the receiver.

The only problem, it was a helmet-to-helmet hit. That not only illegal, but comes with an ejection penalty for targeting. Riggs was ejected because of the hit, and Florida was penalized 15 yards for the play.

It was a 41 yard pass that moved the Tigers down the field quickly. On the very next play, Mauk threw a 20 yard touchdown pass to Bud Sasser, giving them an early lead.

The Gators responded by driving down the field and kicking a field goal on the very next drive. This will probably be the most entertaining game of the early time slots. Missouri went to Georgia last week and upset them on the road.
