There’s a good chance you remember former Minnesota Vikings / Baltimore Ravens center, Matt Birk.

Birk, who at one point tipped the scales at over 300-lbs was no slouch on the field, being selected to six Pro Bowl’s, being named an All-Pro twice and winning a ring with the Baltimore Ravens in 2012.

But now just a year later, Birk looks like a changed man – literally as he’s dropped 75-lbs and is now entering the world of male modeling.

"“I don’t really think of myself as a model. Maybe a glove model,” Birk joked.“I never thought I would pose for a picture with my shirt off. But I wanted to show people that it can be done and that we’re all in this together.”"

Birk is currently in the running to be the next Vi Model, which would place him on the cover of The Challenge Magazine 2014 along with making him the posterboy for Body By ViSalus.

In addition to the weight loss, Birk says he’s lost over 10 inches on his waist, this all after retiring in February.
