Los Angeles Dodgers’ Yasiel Puig allegedly ‘enraged’ NLCS umpire crew

For many who bleed blue and white, Los Angeles Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig can do no wrong. But for most without a vested interested, Puig is an incredibly talented, immature showboating rookie. That’s allegedly how the umpiring crew from the National League Championship Series saw it as well as they reportedly became fed up with Puig’s actions during the NLCS so much, it caused a shouting match between MLB executive Joe Torre and Dodgers president Stan Kasten.

Per MLB.com’s Ken Gurnick:

Puig has enraged the crew, which believes he is showing up umpires at home plate.Apparently, this crew, which Torre oversees, feels that Puig has crossed the line. It’s not known if Puig has been fined, but apparently word was sent from MLB offices to the Dodgers’ clubhouse that disrespecting the umpires with displays at home plate won’t be tolerated, especially by Puig.

There’s no doubt Puig possesses incredible talent, though his attitude has left a lot to be desired.

Hopefully for Puig and baseball, next season will be far more pleasant in regards to how he interacts with fellow players, coaches and umpires.

Umpiring crew is upset(Really?) The Dodgers are the one’s that should be upset with them, they cost them game one with that horrible call at the plate in the 12th inning. Molina never even tried to tag M.Ellis out but some how it was ruled an out which complete B.S…Don’t even get me started on the 2 different stike zones they had for each team. They kept squeezing pretty much all Dodgers pitchers but when some how the Cardinals pitchers had really generous stike zone. Well endless you ask those idiots in the TBS booth…………..

Thank You Jaime, Maybe in the regular season you give that call to the catcher, but not in payoffs, Molina made NO I repeat NO attempt to tag Ellis who was SAFE, the Dodgers knew IT! I have the MLB package on DIRECTV, NONE OF THESE UMPS KNOW THE STRIKE ZONE, and in the late innings they squeeze the zone, all of them, the strike that was called on Puig was at his ankles! Most of these umps are so fat, they can’t see the zone, another one just dropped dead with a heart attack the other day!!! oh yea Joe Torre can kiss the Dodgers AZZ!!!!

the umpiring crew has been trying to put the little birds and the tigers in world series since october born. that’s how the things are, yesterday the umpire just was a big time wooow, like a chelsea-barcelona, yes puig act like a rookie sometimes, but that is no excuse for blame on him, he’s got out side and do 110 by himself like every dodger do, then in the other hand are the team who also tryes but finally the umpire is doing the real job he is commended. not the one he has to do. the other series is going the same way, with umpire crew trying so hard, but the grand slam in second game put them in a tight… so make some smoke and blame the “rookie”…
